Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 September 2026. These terms govern the use of the Master Transport platform.
The retention and deletion terms in section 6 apply to existing subscribers from 28 October 2026.
Section 12 (intellectual property, hosting and your own domain) was added on 29 September 2026 and applies from that date.
1. Who we are and what this agreement covers
Master Transport is a cloud-based journey platform for passenger transport operators, operated by
The Weram Group International ("Weram", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service form a binding agreement
between Weram and the company that subscribes to the service (the "Subscriber", "you"). By creating an
account, paying for a subscription or using the platform, you accept these terms on behalf of your company.
Master Transport is part of the Master Suite of products by Weram.
2. The service
Master Transport provides software for running a passenger transport operation: trips and recurring
schedules, a passenger manifest with boarding and off-boarding records, a driver app, journey tracking
and estimated arrival times, bookings, quotes with client approval, invoices and statements, in-app chat,
incidents, ratings, reports and a client portal. The service is provided as software as a service
(SaaS): we host and operate the platform and you access it over the internet, at mastertransport.co.za and, on a plan that includes it, at a web address of your own that we set up and run for you (section 12).
We may improve, extend or adjust features over time. Where a change materially reduces the service you
pay for, we will give you reasonable notice.
3. Accounts and access
- You must give accurate company and contact information when signing up and keep it current.
- Each login is for one named person. Sharing login details is not allowed.
- You are responsible for the actions taken under your users' logins and for managing which of your
office staff, drivers and clients have access, and what your clients may see of your drivers and vehicles.
- You must keep passwords confidential and tell us promptly at
support@mastertransport.co.za if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscriptions, fees and payment
- The service is sold as a subscription on the plan you select, billed monthly or annually in advance.
- All advertised prices exclude Value Added Tax. VAT at the prevailing South African rate (currently 15%)
is added at checkout and shown on every tax invoice.
- Payments are processed securely by PayFast. We never see or store your card details.
- Subscription fees are payable in South African Rand.
- Moving up a plan takes effect immediately. The unused part of what you have already paid on the plan
you are leaving is credited against the first payment on the new plan, and every renewal after that
is the new plan's full price. The new plan gets its own PayFast subscription, and we stop the
subscription for the plan you are leaving. If the old plan is still collected after that, we refund it.
- When we change your plan or its price by agreement with you, or under the yearly review below, we
update the amount PayFast collects and tell you by email. Switching between monthly and annual billing
needs a new PayFast subscription: you cancel and then subscribe again on the new cycle.
- Elite is priced per operation and set up by agreement; its fees are those in the written quote you accept.
- On Premier and Elite, registering your own domain is included in the plan price. Section 12 explains
who owns the name and how it is run.
- We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
- Subscription prices are reviewed once a year and may increase by up to 10% on each anniversary of your
subscription. We will tell you the new amount in writing at least 30 days before it applies. If you
would rather not continue at the new price, you may cancel under section 11 before it takes effect.
5. Non-payment and suspension
If a subscription payment fails or is not received by the due date, we will remind you and allow a short
grace period. If payment remains outstanding, we may place the account in a read-only state and thereafter
suspend access until payment is received. While access is suspended, every login at your company stops
working, including the driver app and the client portal. If an account remains unpaid we may terminate it
after notice. Suspension and termination both end access, and from the day access ends your data is kept
for 3 months and then deleted, as set out in section 6 and in the
Privacy Policy, unless access is restored before then.
6. Your data and ownership
- The operational data your company records on the platform (clients, passengers, drivers, vehicles,
trips, boarding records, positions, quotes, invoices, messages and related files) belongs to your
company. You are the owner and, in terms of POPIA, the responsible party for that information.
- Weram operates the platform and processes that data on your instructions as an operator. We do not sell
your data and we do not use it for purposes outside providing and supporting the service.
- You can download your operational data at any time as spreadsheet files, from Settings, Export your
data (the owner's login), including while access is paused. Uploaded photos and documents are downloaded
one by one while your account is active. If the account was terminated and you can no longer sign in,
email support@mastertransport.co.za before the deletion date
and we will send you a copy.
- Retention and deletion after access ends. Your access ends when a cancelled subscription
reaches the end of the period you paid for, when the account is suspended (for non-payment or under
section 8) or terminated, when a trial ends without payment, or when a sign-up is never paid. From the day access ends, your data
is kept for 3 months. We warn the account owner by email 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the
deletion date, and restoring access before that date stops the deletion. If access is not restored,
all of your company's data on the platform (its records, its users' logins and its uploaded files) is
then deleted permanently and cannot be recovered, by you or by us, unless we have agreed in writing to
keep it for longer.
- After the deletion Weram keeps only the billing records the law requires of us (your company name,
registration and VAT numbers, billing address and email, and the record of the subscription payments
you made to us) and its own record of the account: when access ended and why, the notices we sent and
when, any hold on the deletion, when a copy was downloaded, and the actions our staff took on the
account. That record holds none of your operational data.
- You are responsible for downloading and keeping any records you must keep before they are deleted, for
example the invoices you issued to your clients, which SARS generally expects a business to keep for
five years (a company may have to keep its accounting records for longer under the Companies Act; your
accountant can confirm). Weram is not liable for data deleted in accordance with this section.
- You remain the responsible party for that data after your subscription ends. You can instruct us in
writing to delete it sooner, and we will do so, except for anything a law requires to be kept.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified usage statistics to improve the service. These statistics can
never identify your company, your drivers, your clients or their passengers.
7. Location, passengers and the people you transport
- Location is recorded only while a trip is live, only when you have switched tracking on for your
company, only when the driver's device has granted permission, and only while the trip screen is open on
the driver's phone. You choose how often a position is shared on the move (15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds;
near a pickup the phone shares every 10 seconds) and how long positions are kept (90 days by default),
and whether your clients see the vehicle on a live map. You are responsible for telling your drivers that
their position is recorded and shared during trips, and that the trip screen keeps their phone's screen
on while the trip is live.
- Passenger records, including learners and other minors, are captured by you and shown to your clients
through the portal. You are responsible for having the consent or other lawful basis POPIA requires
from the passengers, their guardians and your clients, and for capturing only what you need.
- Chat messages sent inside the app are kept as company records and may be read by the company owner
and the office, as the Privacy Policy discloses. You are responsible for telling
your drivers and clients this.
- Estimated arrival times, distances and "minutes away" are calculated from the planned time, the driver's
declared delay or the vehicle's last position, corrected for the roads at the usual speed for the time of
day. They do not use live traffic, they pause when the driver's phone stops sharing, and they are labelled
as estimates. They are a guide, not a promise. The live map shows a position only as fresh as the driver's
phone last sent it: a web app cannot share a position while the driver's screen is off or another app is in
front.
- Maps, street names and road distances come from third parties: the map data is © OpenStreetMap
contributors, shown through the OpenStreetMap Foundation's map pictures, and address search and road
distances (when Weram switches them on) come from Geoapify or openrouteservice. That data can be missing
or wrong, especially for new estates, townships and informal settlements. The pin and the gate or landmark
note are what the driver follows; the address line is only a label. Weram does not guarantee that a map
service is available, and may change the provider, or show a plain map without streets, at any time
without affecting bookings, boarding or billing.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of the National Land Transport Act, operating
licence conditions or any other regulation that applies to your operation;
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory or that infringes the rights of others;
- attempt to gain access to data belonging to another subscriber, or probe, scan or test the security of
the platform without our written permission;
- resell, sublicense or make the service available to third parties other than your own users and clients;
- interfere with the operation of the platform, including introducing malware, using automated tools on
the public forms or placing unreasonable load on it.
We may suspend accounts that put the platform or other subscribers at risk, and will notify you when we do.
While an account is suspended, the retention and deletion rules in section 6 apply.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep the platform available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Planned maintenance is scheduled outside busy hours where possible.
Support is available during South African business hours, from Support inside the app, from the
Get Support page, or by email at
support@mastertransport.co.za. A query raised through Support
or the Get Support page gets a ticket number, and we reply by email.
Premier and Elite include priority support. A ticket raised by someone signed in to a Premier or Elite
account, while that account's access is running, is marked as priority and placed at the top of our
support queue while it waits for an answer. Priority sets the order in which we answer; it is not a
guaranteed response time.
The "Ask GenersysAI" assistant answers from a written guide and, for questions the guide cannot answer,
from an AI service. Its answers are guidance and may be wrong; anything about your own records or your
account should go through Support.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- the platform is a record-keeping and management tool. It does not replace your company's operational
judgement, your duty of care to passengers or your drivers' duty to drive safely, and Weram is not
responsible for accidents, delays, missed collections, no-shows or any other outcome of a trip;
- Weram is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, loss of profits, loss of business
or loss of data caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including loss of mobile signal, GPS
error or a device that was switched off;
- Weram's total liability arising from or related to the service in any 12 month period is limited to the
subscription fees you paid for that period.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
11. Cancellation and termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings, Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the
end of the period you have paid for, you keep full access until then, and fees already paid are not
refunded except where required by law.
- We may terminate this agreement on notice for material breach that is not remedied within a reasonable
time, or for extended non-payment as set out in section 5.
- When access ends, for any of these reasons, your data is kept for 3 months and then deleted,
as set out in section 6. Download a copy before you cancel.
- If you cancel and later subscribe again, you pay the plan's list price on the day you come back, not an
earlier price you may have had. Elite has no list price, so a returning Elite subscriber pays the amount
last agreed until a new quote replaces it.
- If your plan includes your own domain, section 12 says what happens to the domain when your access ends.
12. Intellectual property, hosting and your own domain
This section applies to every subscriber on every plan. The parts about your own domain apply when your plan
includes one (Premier and Elite) and you ask for it.
- Weram owns Master Transport. The platform and everything it is made of belong to Weram:
the software and its source code, its architecture, its database design, its workflows, its application
programming interfaces (APIs), its screens and user interface components, its automation, its
documentation, and every improvement, update and new feature, including one we build because you asked
for it or suggested it. All of it is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright and other
intellectual property law. The Master Transport and Master Suite names and logos are ours as well.
- Your fees buy access, not ownership. Your subscription fees, and any setup, branding or
domain fees, pay for the right to use the service while your subscription runs, on these terms. No fee,
and nothing else in this agreement, transfers ownership of any part of the platform to you or gives you
a licence to its source code or a copy of the software.
- What we never hand over. No subscriber is entitled to, and we do not give anyone: the
source code or any copy of it; access to the hosting control panel, the servers or the database; FTP or
SFTP access; access to our code repository; infrastructure credentials of any kind; or access to the DNS
or the control panel of a domain that points at our servers. This applies on every plan, while the
service runs on your own domain, and after your subscription ends.
- Using the platform fairly. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the
platform, try to extract its source code or its database, or use it to build a competing product, except
where the law expressly allows it.
- Your brand stays yours. Your company name, trading name, logo and colours remain yours.
You allow us to show them in the service for your company (the app, your client portal, your emails and
your documents) while your subscription runs, and you confirm that you have the right to use them.
- Your data stays yours. Nothing in this section changes section 6: the
business data your company records on the platform belongs to your company, whatever happens to a domain,
and the owner can download it at any time from Settings, Export your data, including while access is
paused, until the deletion date set out in section 6.
Your own domain
- What it is. On Premier and Elite, the service can also answer at a web address of
your own, for example yourcompany.co.za. It is the same service, run by us on our servers, showing your
company's name, logo and colours, and your team, your drivers and your clients sign in there. You ask for
it in writing, when you move up a plan or under Settings, Branding, and we aim to have it live within a few
business days. If the name you want cannot be registered, we tell you and you can choose another.
- Who owns the name. Registering the name is included in your plan price. Unless you already
own the name, we register it in Weram's name, and it is Weram's domain. If you already own the name, it
stays yours: you point it at our servers with the settings we send you.
- It runs this service and nothing else. The domain points at Weram's servers and runs only
Master Transport for your company. It carries no other website, no other software and no email. Weram
administers it: its security certificate and its hosting, and its DNS records when we registered the name.
While it runs the service it cannot be transferred away from our servers, and its settings cannot be handed
over or self-served.
- The three domain terms. When you ask for your own domain you accept these three terms in
writing, one tick box at a time. They form part of this agreement, word for word:
- There is NO traditional email on this domain. You cannot create mailboxes like info@yourdomain.co.za, and any email you already run on the name must stay where it is or it will stop working.
- There is NO control panel access for this domain. Hosting, DNS and certificates are managed by us and cannot be handed over or self-served.
- The domain is NOT transferable away from our servers. It points at the system we host for you and stays with us, because the software it runs is our intellectual property.
- A name you already own. For a name you own, the third term means the name keeps pointing
at our servers while it runs the service. The name itself stays yours, and you keep its DNS with your own
registrar, changing only the records we send you. The second term then covers the hosting and the
certificate, which we manage.
- When your subscription ends. When your access ends (sections 6 and 11), or your plan
changes to one without its own domain, the domain stops pointing at the service and the service no longer
answers there. A name Weram registered stays Weram's. A name you own stays yours: you point it wherever you
choose, and we take it off our hosting.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will give notice of material changes by email or in the
app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means
you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have
jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
